Dark Group was established in 1999.
We create dynamic businesses that are built around strong branding, the latest technology, a passion for offering unique services and a desire to exceed our customers' expectations.
Group History
In 1999 we began offering website design to local businesses, and after a busy year moved into the web hosting and domain name market, offering low cost solutions to get consumers and businesses online with minimum hassle.
We have provided services to companies such as Nokia, Virgin and Microsoft, giving us firm ground to grow and expand. We are dedicated to offering the highest level of customer service in the market, and are proud that our key staff remain unchanged since day one.
Eight years on and our product lines and services have evolved to meet the needs of our customers, including a range of new products such as broadband ADSL, database development and brand integrity solutions. In 2007 we became members of Ripe, allowing us to build our own IP networks.
In 2008 we were approved by Ofcom as a Public Electronic Communications Services provider allowing us to obtain our own telephone number ranges from them. This is just a small part of the exciting growth for the group this year.
We thrive on the success of our customers, and continue to offer the best customer services and support in the industry. When you contact us for support, you will be talking to someone who can answer your question, rather than just give you a scripted answer.
Strategic Partnerships

We are proud established members of Nominet UK, the domain name authority for the .uk domain name, giving us voting rights and UK domain name registration services. Our Nominet tag is DARK.

We are a Ripe Local Internet Registry (LIR), which allows us to request IP space and other services directly from Ripe allowing us to build our own IPv4 and IPv6 networks.

Ofcom have approved us as a Public Electronic Communications Services provider, this means we are able to obtain telphone number allocations directly from them.

We have been granted permission by Phonepay Plus, the premium rate services regulator, to operate live premium rate telephone services.

We support the Better Payment Practice Campaign, a cooperative of businesses who seek to improve the payment culture amongst UK organisations.

We recognise that our activities can impact upon the environment both through our routine internal operations, infrastructural development, and through our influence and effects on the wider community.
The Dark Group acknowledges a responsibility for, and a commitment to the protection of the environment at all levels. We will comply fully with environmental legislation and is in addition committed to continued efforts to:

- endeavour to recycle waste, in particular paper produced in buildings where we have control of the relevant services.

- review our environmental policy on an annual basis, taking in to account developments in environmental legislation.
- encourage existing suppliers to investigate and introduce environmentally responsible processes and products, and ensure that consideration is given to the benefits of environmentally responsible alternatives.
- encourage feedback regarding our environmental issues and concerns.
